okay so the controversy continues.....I was talking to a friend of mine from Tennessee on the phone earlier today and it went a little something like this:
Me: I'm friggin tired..
Antwone: Why?
Antwone: Why?
Me: I dont know, cause its the afternoon, and its hot...?
Antwone: Okay, did you get any sleep?
Me: Yeh, I think I need a pop.
Antwone: a POP?
Me: Yeh, you know a pop? Like a Mountain Dew?
Antwone: Girl- You Stupid, aint no such thing people be callin pop.
Me: Then whats it called?
Antwone: A Coke!
So of course as you can see- the argument persist......All my life I have said Pop, in my opinion its pop and always will be. The southerners tried influencing me into calling even a pepsi a coke but of course I thought they were crazy and just as dumb as the rest of us think they are. I believe the whole "coke" thing came around when CocaCola opened doors and employeed a quarter of Atlanta's population way back when and have continued to drink only that ever since..... So after taking a quick texting vote I have come to a conclusion: People whom say "Soda" are more sophisticated (so they think), those whom choose "Coke" dont think outside the box...and us "Pop" drinkers are just way too cool..... and as you can tell from this poll, in which I never remember participating in- but I accept the results....it just proves us cool people know what we're talking about..
This is a fight that Jeff/Jeff's family and I have ALL the time. They get after me if I call a carbonated beverage anything but a soda. I'll have to show them that picture.

I totally agree...but thats probably because we grew up in the same house!

Well, I either call it a soda or a coke. I just feel weird calling it pop.
